"Notturno bus", è un film di Davide Marengo uscito nella stagione 2006–2007 ed è tratto dall’omonimo romanzo di Giampiero Rigosi. La storia racconta l’incontro-scontro tra Leila, una affascinante Giovanna Mezzogiorno, bella e giovane falsaria che vive di piccoli furti e truffe, e Franz interpretato da Valerio Mastandrea, ingenuo e generoso autista di autobus con la passione per il poker, che ad un passo dalla laurea in filosofia ha mollato tutto per la sicurezza del posto fisso. Due solitudini, due vite a metà che, per un puro disegno del destino, si trovano loro malgrado imbrigliate in un complesso e pericoloso gioco di potenti senza scrupoli, servizi segreti deviati e non, piccola e grande criminalità. E come in una favola i due ragazzi insieme riescono a ritrovare il bandolo dell’intricata matassa e a risolvere l’impasse della propria esistenza, salvo poi per il finale, triste epilogo. "Notturno bus" è una miscellanea di tanti generi: si passa dalla commedia, all’azione, al noir fino ad arrivare the pure sentimentality. Questo bel film inizia con uno squillo minaccioso di un telefono che accompagna i titoli di testa, in bianco, che appaiono progressivamente su sfondo nero. Dedicato a Gillo Pontecorvo è il lungometraggio di finzione ad opera Davide Marengo, in whose art curriculum, as well as music videos, commercials and short films are "Craj", a documentary on folk music from Puglia. E’ finalmente uscito il film “Into the Wild”, di Sean Penn, che tanto attendevamo. “Into the Wild” si rifà alla storia vera di Chris McCandless, raccontata nel libro pubblicato in Italia da Corbaccio “Nelle terre estreme” di Jon Krakauer. Sulla qualità tecnica del film non mi dilungo; basta dire che è davvero bellissimo, uno dei film migliori usciti negli ultimi anni forse… “Into the Wild” si presenta come la storia of a journey, a classic road trip on the roads of the immense American West, with a precise destination, Alaska, with its vast wilderness, which becomes the ideal destination and also the epilogue of the adventure . Chris McCandless is but an emblem of the many crazy dreamers and romantics who have tried the dream in the wilderness of their liberation. Chris is a special boy, who grew up in a wealthy family, who can not bear the emptiness of the duties and conformism of bourgeois expectations as a career, the consumer objects which surround the layer of stable family relationships, but which in reality hide hatred and misunderstanding. Chris is a guy who wants to flee from all this and look at the nature and wandering aimlessly in the opportunity for genuine liberation and experimentation of pure vitality, the opportunity to come face to face with himself.
